This was our first four wheel drive tractor which we bought in 1964. This was an International Harvester 4100 with about 160 horsepower.

The 4100 was used to pull this International Harvestor Model 700 eight bottom (8x16") plow!

This Series II Steiger Panther replaced the yellow 4100 tractor in 1975. It had a 310 horsepower Cummins engine.

This Steiger Panther Series IV with 360 hp. was using a moldboard plow to prepare the soil for next years crop. The DMI plow had 10 moldboards (usually set at 20" wide) and flexed in the middle. We tried to plow about 16 inches deep. Now we use chisel plows for our primary tillage.
