On our combines and larger tractors you might notice a small yellow dome centered above the cab. This is our GPS antenna which continuously receives signals from multiple satellites to record the exact position of the combine every second. We record the yield and the moisture of the crop each second and transfer this information to our office computer and so we can produce maps that show a color coded image of yields throughout each field. The system allows us to use auto-steer on many field operations.
