This first photo shows an example of the fertility of one of our fields. This happens to be the map for phosphorus levels. This shows us visually how the fertility levels are different throughout this 120 acre field.
The next photos show a two GPS(Global Positioning System) fertilizer applicators. As the units move through each field they continuously vary the amount of fertilizer applied to different areas of the field. The amount needed is determined from the soil samples that were taken on a grid pattern. The global positioning satellites allow the control unit to pinpoint what area of the grid is being treated and apply the correct amount of material accordingly. The units have multiple compartments and can vary the rate of different materials at the same time. This technology allows precise applications which are environmentally sound.

We apply only what fertilizer is needed to only those areas where it is needed.
