9400 Tractor Crossing Creek

Usually the water is not this deep but we often cross this creek to get equipment to another field. Under some conditions it can be 15 feet deeper!!! This saves us about ten miles of highway travel.

Wet fall harvest!

First the cart got stuck...our truck pulls up to offload part of the load...it is stuck now...combine tries to pull out cart...combine gets stuck as well! Later, our 4-wheel drive could not get anything out, so we called in a wrecker and got all out except the truck. It was sinking deeper. We used the wrecker tied to our tractor for an anchor and the combine chained to the frame of the truck to keep it from tipping over and still had to open the back of the truck and scoop out most of the corn onto the ground. The far side of the truck bed was at ground level! The tires were completely below ground level! No photos at the worst time...it was well after dark.
